NEW ME Support Group in Consett
Viv Jones helps to run a local ME Support Group in Stanley and is
aware many members from Consett simply cannot travel to the
meetings.
She has now found and booked a venue in Consett and meetings will be held every
month starting from September 6th.

Ashington ME Friendship Group
Wendy Gibson manages this group which is now in its 8th
month! (time really does fly).
“We started with 12 people and with at least one new
member each month we are growing steadily. A friendly
bunch of mixed ages and gender, all at different
stages/levels of ME. It really is good to know you are not
alone, you can chat and have fun and make new friends.
You don’t have to be at every meeting, at some we have had talks or
demonstrations.
Meetings are held monthly, 2-4pm on the 3rd Wednesday. Our regular venue is
Trinity Church (next door to the old police station), Station Road, Ashington. Please
note though, as a new kitchen is being fitted in the Church, our August meeting
(Weds 18th) has been changed to the Queen Elizabeth II Lakeside pub, Woodhorn,
Ashington, at the same time 2-4pm.”
