ME Awareness Week 2006

We set up our stall with our new ME North East Banner and display boards. We provided lots of leaflets and information sheets, and we had a substantial number of cards hand-made by our young ME members to attract further attention. Most importantly we had a continuous rota of willing volunteers wearing distinctive ME T-Shirts, who gave their time willingly to explain about the illness and raise awareness of ME North East.
Overall it was felt to have been a very worthwhile event. Numbers in the Metro Centre were fewer than expected – but we were competing with the best weeks weather of the year. We do think it would be worthwhile to do again – just let’s hope it rains!!
