This tapping treatment uses statements linked to letting go of the problem you are working on. It works on a deep emotional level.

Disturbance Scale

Check out where or how the problem disturbs you i.e. you may have a feeling of anxiety in your stomach or a tightness in your chest. Measure on a scale of 1-10 how disturbing the problem is. 10 being the most disturbing. Then proceed with the tapping.

Set up

Whilst tapping the outside of the hand, midway between the wrist and the base of the little finger (Karate Chop spot), repeat 3 times.

‘Even though I have this ………………(state problem eg: anxiety), I deeply and completely accept myself’.

Steps 1-6

Follow steps 1-6 and focus attention to each emotional aspect of each problem, (i.e. step 1, think of the sadness linked to the problem you are tapping out).

1. Tap on the inside of the eyebrow saying ‘I am letting go of all the sadness from all the routes and the deepest cause of this problem.
2. Tap under the eye saying ‘I am letting go of all the fears from all of the routes and the deepest cause of this problem’.
3. Tap the inside of the little finger along side the cuticle saying ‘I am letting go of all the angers from all the routes and the deepest cause of this problem’.
4. Tap on the centre of the forehead saying ‘I am letting go of all the traumas from all of the routes and the deepest cause of this problem’.
5. Tap the side of the index finger saying ‘I am letting go of all of the unforgiveness from all of the routes and the deepest cause of this problem’.
6. Tap on the chest point saying ‘I am letting go, I am letting go, I am letting go’.

Check for changes to your disturbance level, if not repeat set up then rub the sore spot on the left side of the chest 10 times while focusing on the fact that something is not allowing the treatment to work. Continue with the tapping.
