Raises over £1,100

Lucy Scorers mum called us a few months ago to ask how she could help raise funds for ME North East Young People’s Group.

She decided to host a 1940’s Theme Night – something that the whole family were interested in. Nearly 200 tickets were sold for the event – held at a hall close to Lucy’s home. Many prizes were donated for the raffle and Lucy’s Grandmother was responsible for providing a very appetising and wholesome buffet!

The music was from the 40’s and everyone had a great time dancing and reminiscing about days gone by. Great effort had been made by everyone to dress in theme – Army/Navy/RAF uniforms were in abundance and all the women looked as though they had just stepped out of an old film – very chic and glamorous! The hall looked fabulous with all the Union Jack bunting.

A HUGE “Thank You” to Lucy’s family for hosting such a great evening and for raising awareness and funds for ME.
