My Goodness, what a fantastic turnout to our first ever Young People’s Forum Meeting. We strongly believe that many of our younger members can make valuable contributions to the contents of their Magazine (ME & U), their Young Persons Website and the running of the ME Club so in July this year a Young Person’s Forum was established for ME North East.
 
The idea of establishing the Young Person’s Forum has been driven by you to provide younger members the opportunity to enjoy being part of a team and personally be able to make a difference. We now have 15 elected members.
 
The turnout to the first meeting on the 21st July was fantastic, eight Young People and three Parents all provided honest feedback and made valuable contributions. The sharing of ideas and individuals personal experiences certainly provided an excellent grounding to move things forward within the Young Peoples Group. Our own chat room linked to the web was agreed as a necessity to improve communications between Young People, the re-launch of the ME Club was also believed to be a high priority with additional social nights. Individuals also made valuable contributions to the magazine/website contents.
 
Overall, the first meeting appeared to be a massive success and thanks again to all those who came along, we look forward to seeing you and your ideas soon!
