As many of you will be aware earlier in the year some
of our young people attended three workshops with a local artist to
make a silk banner for the ‘One Day Cricket International’
at Chester-Le-Street in June. Our ‘Pakistan’ theme definitely
had us all challenged and required a good sense of humour along the
way!
On the 15th of June the ‘Banner Presentation Ceremony’ was
held at
Chester-le-Street Riverside. ME North East and two of our young members
were extremely proud to collect our Young People’s Certificates
highlighting their commitment and contribution to making the banner.
We all concluded that out of the total 16 banners made by other local
charities and schools ours was by far the most creative and colourful!
The banner is currently hung at Chester le Street Riverside Pavilion
for the general public to see and will eventually be returned to our
ME North East Office, please pop in to have a look.
Well done to everyone that took part, it was a great success!
