ME Club - Social Outing

For all you rugby fans out there it is definitely an event not to be missed! On Sunday 27th February Rebekah, Suzanne, Philippa, Sheila and I all set off for Kingston Park to watch Newcastle Falcons play Gloucester in the Zurich Premiership. With a fantastic view in the seating area and just over 6,000 fans there the atmosphere was fantastic only slightly disappointing as ‘Jonny’ wasn’t playing and it was freezing!!

With the Falcons losing badly at half time they played a much better second half to end the match with a draw 27 – 27. As the snow came down we kept warm with our flasks and numerous layers and it was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.

We must say a big Thank You to the Newcastle Falcons as they provided us with great seating and our carers got in free on the day. On the success of this event it was decided that another outing must be organized and on the 30th May the same group went to watch Newcastle Falcons play London Irish! Unfortunately I was unable to attend this trip and was totally gutted to hear that not only did ‘Jonny’ play the whole match but he was also looking fantastic – so Sheila says!!!!

At the beginning of next season I am sure we will be regular attendees so please if you are interested and fancy doing something different then get in touch your are more than welcome to come along. Joanna
