What a high to end on following such a successful ME Awareness Week in May earlier this year. With a huge amount of determination, courage and willpower our 70 abseilers have raised over £8,500. All their efforts were extremely appreciated as this was no easy task as individuals were required to overcome many fears and anxieties.

We want to thank many of you who managed to persuade family and friends to take part and those of you who actually completed the abseil themselves! The feedback from the event has been extremely positive and most people are already looking forward to next years challenging event!

We must say again a huge thank you to Craig Gelder’s Grandfather John Mallet, who raised over £700 and worked with us closely to increase awareness of the illness through various press coverage. Both Craig and his grandfather appeared in the Evening Chronicle newspaper and gave their story of living with and supporting a young person with ME.
